The BoWex® Toothed Coupling from KTR is a highly flexible shaft-to-shaft coupling, particularly suited for compensating large displacements. Its compact design, the possibility of axial insertion, and low restoring forces are key characteristics of this coupling. Typical applications for this coupling are in environments with severe torsional vibrations, such as screw compressors, piston compressors, or transfer pumps. For optimal selection of the toothed coupling, various types of elastomers with Shore hardness are available to perfectly adjust the torsional rigidity according to the application. This highly flexible coupling demonstrates its advantages especially when used with electric motors.
