ROTEX ZRS Elastic Couplings. The ZRS model, lightweight and made of high-strength aluminum, stands out for its high overall rigidity. The high rigidity of the aluminum tube comes from the structure made up of two tubes connected by ROTEX elastic elements. The critical bending speed of the coupling is positively influenced, allowing distances between shafts up to 4,000 mm with very low bending. Moreover, the speed relative to the shaft distance can be significantly higher than that of a coupling with an intermediate steel tube. The high rigidity of the tube enables torque transmission with spiders ranging from soft 92 ShA hardness to rigid torsional hardness of 64 ShD.
